The Company

Modern Music School is the contemporary music school for rock and pop music. It is unique among all other franchise programs.

At our local branches, people learn how to play their instrument of choice. They learn from friendly, top-notch teachers – teachers who know how to teach people what they are really interested in.

Professional musicians teach freelance at Modern Music Schools and are employed by the principal. In order to work for a MMS, teachers must be highly qualified in terms of people skills, teaching methods and musicality. That being the case, examining and further educating the teachers in all of these areas is a vital part of the Modern Music School system.
Our concept has grown – after all, a company that has been active on the market for two decades does make its experiences. It collects insights into what works best. And it learns what one has to do in order to develop further.

More than Lessons.

Since day one, we have had the aim of not only giving our customers the best classes possible, but providing more: We enable them to go live on stage or invite them to workshops conducted by celebrities. We present their bands on our website or write about them in our customer magazine, Modern Music Mag.

In doing so, we open the door to our community for them – a network of music fans that welcomes anyone, from those who play guitar as a hobby to those who earn their living by singing.

Three Brands – one Philosophy

Modern Music School has two sisters: Vibra School of DJing and the comprehensive early music education Kling Klong. Our local branches can offer any combination of these three programmes.

All three MMS Franchising programmes are connected by the guiding principle explored by founder Hans-Peter Becker in his book In jedem steckt ein Musiker: That learning requires integrated motivation, that anyone can be musical and that musicality is part of an accomplished life.
